Faux Woodgrain Door

To add a richer design element to an entry door, the clients opted to have the interior side wood grained. The furniture in the foyer is cherry, so the colors and graining pattern was chosen to blend with the furniture. To add an interest to the door, inlaid faux maple bands were applied to the panels.

The picture was taken before the varnish was applied. After the varnish is applied, when taking photos, there is often a “bounce” flash off the surface and it obliterates the detailing of the work.
