Veneciano
Italian plaster is an umbrella term used to described many plasters including both smooth and aggregate. This plaster finish is known as Veneciano. The application is three layers of a plaster each layer covering 75% of the wall space. It is then “polished” out with either a stainless steel trowel or 600 grit sandpaper. Usually a topcoat is applied. Depending on the desired gloss, the topcoat can be just a natural grout sealer, or wax buffed to a high sheen.
