Custom Constructed Ceiling Medallion

The client loved the center medallion pattern, but it wasn’t large enough for the room. Working with a carpenter, decorative moulding and 1/8″ Masonite board, we came to this design. Gold leaf was gilded onto the flat surface to highlight her brass chandelier and the colors were selected out of the wallpaper that was already there. The painted areas were then rubbed out in glaze to soften which further highlighted the gilded work.
