Fireplace Screen Remodel

A client had a beautiful hand painted fireplace screen that he wanted to re-purpose but it was too small. He contacted me to enlarge it and make it self-supporting without the bulky supports that it came with. With the help of a carpenter; we designed this screen using the panel from the original  and adding a bottom panel, then 2 side panels with the same bottom panel design. The upper portion of the side panels were painted to match the color and foliage of the original center panel, and the whole screen frame got a verdigris finish. This project was done in the studio for a client in Hunt Valley, Baltimore County, MD.
